On November 26, 2023, some members of Dundee Baha'i community took a day trip to Edinburgh. Our first stop was the Baha'i Centre on Albany Street. We were excited to see the newly renovated space, with its bright walls, majestic staircase, and multiple rooms for meetings, community activities including children's classes.

We enjoyed a devotional gathering with our fellow Baha'is and friends from Edinburgh, reading prayers and sacred writings together. The spirit of unity was palpable. Afterwards, we shared a delicious meal and fellowship. The kids then headed downstairs for an engaging art session while the adults continued conversing.
Afterward, we strolled through the streets of Edinburgh to our next destination - the Georgian House owned by the National Trust for Scotland. This historic home held special significance for our community, as it was where Abdu'l-Baha stayed during his 1913 visit to Edinburgh. We felt awed entering the same space trod by the son of the Baha'i Faith's prophet. A kind staff member welcomed us and provided a fascinating tour about the house's history.
Before taking the bus back to Dundee, we stopped at a cozy coffee shop in the city centre for refreshments. With warm drinks in hand, we reflected on the joy of this day spent connecting with Baha'is and their friends in another community and touching a piece of our history. Though brief, our visit gave us renewed appreciation for the ties that bind us and how faith brings insight into the past. Our hearts were full as we reluctantly boarded the coach home, eager to implement all we had learned about service, dedication, and unity.
